The experts of USAID Municipal Energy Reform Project in Ukraine (USAID Project) conducted a seminar "Perspective Planning in Heat Supply of Cities and Inhabited Localities of Ukraine" on December 6, 2017. Participants of the seminar were the energy managers, representatives of the municipalities and heating utilities of the USAID Project partner cities. The main objective of the seminar was to familiarize participants with modern approaches to the process of energy planning and heat supply of the cities. Together with the experts, the participants discussed important issues of energy management, experience and prospects of the regional programs for modernization of the communal energy sector, as well as the problems of development of the optimized heat supply plans. In addition, the experts told about the experience of modernization of the existing boiler houses and the prospects of installation (use) of biofuel-fired mini-CHPs in the municipal heat supply systems.
